Our Commitment to You
We want your experience at UCHC meals to be positive, safe, and enjoyable. UCHC will:
• Serve a meal to everyone seated at tables, except those who violate the Code of Conduct
• Share food equally among all guests
• Try to honor requests for vegetarian and pork-free meals
• Provide a safe place where all might relax and enjoy themselves
What We Ask of All Guests
To help us maintain a welcoming environment, guests are asked to:
• Remain seated throughout the meal
• Respect the hospitality and property of the meal sites
• Help set up before and clean up after the meals
• Wear a shirt
Unacceptable Behaviors
The following behaviors are not permitted:
• Failing to observe the floor manager's instructions
• Possessing a weapon
• Stealing in or from a meal site
• Fighting
• Verbal abuse, including cursing
• Threatening guests or volunteers
• Refusing to stop unwanted attention
• Smoking
• Possessing drugs or alcohol
Behaviors that violate criminal law may result in contacting the appropriate authorities.
Violation and Penalties
Guests who violate the Code of Conduct will receive a verbal warning. If behavior continues, the following penalties apply:
Serious Violations
Includes:
• Refusing instructions from the floor manager
• Stealing
• Fighting
• Threatening the safety of guests or volunteers
• Refusing to stop unwanted attention
• Possessing illegal drugs
Penalties:
• First offense: 30-day dismissal
• Second offense: 6-month dismissal
• Third offense: 1-year dismissal
• Fourth offense: Permanent dismissal
Moderate Violations
Includes:
• Verbal abuse (including cursing)
• Smoking
• Possessing alcohol
Penalty: 1-week dismissal
Weapons
Includes:
Being found in possession of a weapon as defined by police (firearms or a long knife).
Penalty:
Permanent dismissal
